Question:
Does the display show actual temperature, or just the temperature preset?
Answer: Yes, it shows the actual temperature - and by setting an option in the menu, it will display it in C or F. The unit does maintain settings both when manually powered down as well as if power is interrupted from the outlet. -
Question:
Can I set separate high and low temps to run a heat lamp in winter and cooling fan in the summer?
Answer: Technically, you can run a heat and cooling cycle at the same time. But, the trigger temperatures for cooling and heating can not be more than 20C (36F) apart. If you are using this for only one trigger, keep the difference setting as low as you can (0.3C?), and then the middle or set temperature becomes the trigger temperature for heat or cool. -
Question:
Has anyone extended the sensor leads by another 30 feet?
Answer: The temperature error introduced by the extra wire is less than 0.02%. -
Question:
Does it display Fahrenheit as well as Celsius?
Answer: I bought a unit in January of 2016 and it will display either C or F. -
Question:
Can I program this to turn a fan on at a set temp. and run until the temp. drops to another set temp?
Answer: Yes, but there is only one set temperature and s difference parameter. -
Question:
Need something to monitor waterline temp and switch on/off a heat tape. Can this be set to alarm at a minimum low temp?
Answer: It CAN be with a little effort: Using a relay to convert the cooling signal to a heating signal, can make this unit a 2 stage heat stat. Another option is to contact the seller about the ITC-2000. -
Question:
Will it work on a Neycraft Kiln?
Answer: If your kiln runs on 110 VAC, runs on 10 amps or less, and runs only between -50 and +99 Degrees C, then you can use this device.
