'Petsolpoulos who showed us the diversity of designs and the difficulty of classifications, Belkıs for beginning to unravel the variety of Anatolian weaving techniques, and Marla Marlett for getting it all down on paper. Pinkwart and Steiner for showing how an intense study of a small area could give us an idea of the identity of the weaver's tribe and the relation of the various groups to one another. The early travelers, whose reports give us an idea of how Anatolia was, and to Gould and Lindner whose studies of specific problems of settlement showed how using the historical sources could help visualize how Anatolian tribes managed.'
