Answer: No engineer will risk a definite answer without knowing more details about the loads and distances involved. On a Christmas tree, one usually hangs what is in the box. Across a street, one might need a reinforcement. -

How do you attach string of lights to cable? In picture, it looks like lights have “hook” on the top of each one, but your lights do not.
Answer: There is a loop above each socket that the cable slides through. -

Answer: This is a loaded question because it depends on the design requirements. What I have is mostly plastic, with some bronze connections copper wires, and glass light bulbs. -

Answer: There are 2 loops for you. -

Can these suspension wires be somehow attached to a metal rain gutter?
Answer: It depends on your gutter and which part of the gutter. Those wires require something strong and stable, after all, you are likely to hang something on it, so your connection needed to be strong. For the weight, you put on as well as the tension for both ends of the wire pulling each other.
