It needs to be plugged into a 110v outlet to make use of its heating and pellet auger functions. The excess grease bucket doubles up for other loose particles that can fall into it through the hole. Cleaning the grill can be a bit of a hassle as you need to remove ash generated by wood pellets. It is rust-prone, especially in humid climates, but a little bit of sanding and recoating can fix the problem.
