TAMIYA Airplane & Jet Kits TAM61108 Editorial Review
The Tamiya 61108 1/48 Mitsubishi A6M3/3A (Zeke) Plastic Model Airplane Kit has garnered a mostly positive reception from hobbyists, particularly those with intermediate to advanced modeling skills. Many reviews laud the model for its exceptional engineering, detailed components, and variety of assembly options. The notable inclusion of photo-etched parts, allowing for folded wing tips, and detailed pilot figures reflects Tamiya's commitment to enhancing the builder's experience. Several users appreciated the accuracy of the model's details, including features such as the tail gear access door and cockpit instruments, which are accurately represented. However, the complexity of the assembly, especially concerning the "greenhouse" type canopy and thick decals that require diligent care during application, has made some hobbyists recommend this kit for more experienced builders. While most builders expressed high levels of satisfaction with the overall quality and fit of the parts, one reviewer had a negative experience due to what they described as low-quality decals and issues with part fitting. On the whole, this model is recognized for its quality and value for the money, with builders often expressing a desire to acquire more versions from Tamiya's Zero series. The included features and attention to detail have delighted many, positioning this kit as a standout in 1/48 scale models for enthusiasts. **
