Can you tell me the mounting bolt hole dimensions? I have a xmd2 clarion marine radio I want to replace. The holes are 8.25” by 2.5” apart 4 screws
Answer: The stereo will mount to the ACM5B using the stereo's supplied metal sleeve. There is a 1/8 inch lip with mounting holes on the inside of the din opening where the sleeve will bottom out, you can then bend the tabs on the sleeve to secure it in place or drill into the mounting holes. Will work with s single din with a retractable screen?
Answer: Depending on the radio there may not be enough clearance for the screen to deploy properly. The radio will be recessed into the cover which may cause interference with the screen. -

Answer: If you are asking how to remove the complete assembly from the dash, there are two snap-on covers on each side of the flip up door. if you pop those off there will be two screws underneath each cover. remove those screws and the entire assembly will slide out. -

The SCOSCHE ACM5B Marine Cover is a universal DIN cover designed for marine use. It comes with a flip-up door that provides easy access to your stereo. The cover is black and has mounting hardware included with it for easy installation. The cover is designed to fit into a rough opening of 8 3/8” Length x 3” Height x 3 11/16” Depth. The stereo is secured to the bracket using folding tabs that bend to grab the cover. The cover also has a 1/8 inch lip with mounting holes inside the DIN opening where the stereo's supplied metal sleeve will bottom out. You can then bend the tabs on the sleeve to secure it in place or drill into the mounting holes. The cover will work with a single din with a retractable screen, but depending on the radio, there may not be enough clearance for the screen to deploy properly. The cover can be removed by popping off the snap-on covers on each side of the flip-up door and unscrewing the two screws under each cover. This cover will fit a Kenwood marine KMR-D558BT with no issues. Overall, the SCOSCHE ACM5B Marine Cover is a good choice for those looking for a universal DIN cover for their marine stereo. It is easy to install and provides easy access to your stereo while keeping it protected from the elements.
