The film, Guilty of Romance: Special Edition, is a Japanese drama centred on the life of a Conservative woman married to an erotic novelist. The plot backtracks to their journeys, and the detective's investigation of a murdered mutilated corpse. The Japanese version is a more complete movie as far as plot and story go compared to the International Cut, which ignored the murder case part of the story.
