Answer: I'm not 100% sure. My guess is aluminum.... I would NOT recommend this product if you are tying to put heat to it. -

Answer: Says right n the description: alloy steel. -

Answer: Readily available at big box or hardware stores - it's called hardware cloth. -

Can this be used to make a diy basket for holding charcoal & wood to use in a bbq smoker/grill??
Answer: I don't think this would hold up to the heat with a grill. -

Can this be used as a mesh for putting stone on a fireplace?
Answer: It is possible but I wouldn't. It is very light. -

Answer: Huh? It is mesh perforated aluminum. Why would you cook with it?
