The Complete Series of Boardwalk Empire offers viewers a great look at the time of Prohibition in 1920's Atlantic City. Steve Buscemi delivers an electric performance as Nucky Thompson, Atlantic City's town boss and negotiator throughout the series. However, some customers have experienced issues with the DVD discs. Some have reported freezing and jumping during playback, which has been a source of frustration. It seems that at least two of the discs have exhibited these problems, even after being replaced. The packaging of the DVD box has also received criticism. Customers have noted that when extracting a season folder, the DVDs can easily fall out if the box is not held vertically. This design flaw has resulted in discs ending up on the floor for some customers. Overall, the series itself is great and the DVDs play beautifully, but there are notable concerns regarding the quality of the discs and the functionality of the DVD box.
