How wide (not long) is the road in this set? Is there a recommended brand of road-only decals that would go well with this set?
Answer: The road is about 1.5" wide. Not sure about another set! -

How long are the road pieces? Or how many feet/meters will the roads cover? Are there images for the individual sheets, so I can see?
Answer: Once you applied the sticker on to wall the road will be 295.8cm x 159.8cm. Please see the photo from product information for the details. -

Answer: If the texture of the floor is smooth I think you could put them on a floor but they would probably come off from being walked on.
