It is formulated to provide essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals that a puppy needs in their first weeks of life. A 6.6 lb. puppy should receive a total of 26.4 teaspoons of powder (prior to reconstitution) per day. The product should be stored in the freezer to keep it fresh. Overall, customers seem to be satisfied with the product, stating it is good, exactly as described and a life saver for a young pup. Some customers have also used it to supplement their litter or elderly dog. One customer complained however, that they received a can that was 1/3 empty. Another noted that the product was quite pricey and they went through many cans with their 2-week old puppy. The protein and fat per serving is 29% and 28% respectively.
