Prologo Handlebar Tape Editorial Review
** Prologo One Touch Handlebar Tape Gel** The Prologo One Touch Handlebar Tape Gel has garnered attention for its unique incorporation of a sticky gel adhesive instead of standard tape, successfully enhancing its usability and grip. Users have praised the overall texture of the tape, noting its comfort and firm hold during rides, making it an attractive option, especially for those seeking a balance between plushness and performance on varied terrains. Many have likened it to, or even regarded it as an improvement over, the original bar tape found on premium bikes like the Cannondale CAAD10, highlighting its superior padding without being overly thick. Despite its many advantages, the tape does have some drawbacks. Notably, it has shown susceptibility to damage when subjected to minor mishaps, such as a bike falling over, which can lead to rips near the end caps. Users have expressed disappointment with the included end caps, deeming them subpar and suggesting that additional measures, such as scotch tape, may be necessary to ensure they stay in place. Aesthetic options also appear to be a missed opportunity for some, with requests for additional color variations like solid black. On the whole, customers regard the Prologo One Touch Handlebar Tape Gel as a worthwhile investment, appreciating its grip and cushioning while acknowledging some room for improvement in durability and component quality. **
