Answer: The reason for the similarity is not known. It has 7 settings on the back, from vertical to decline. -

What is with the leg holder pads? Does it pull out with the handle or is it not adjustable? I dont think my legs would fit with it in the pic.
Answer: The handle is for moving the chair and allows you to lift it up so the rollers on the opposite end are in contact with the floor. It has adjustments (and locked positions) for the pads to raise for ankle lock. The picture is a little deceiving, it is pictured in the lowest position for exercises such as bench press. -

What is the width of the pad where your shoulderblades would rest?
Answer: 11 Inches. This back pad alone is 37 Inches long.
