The Silverstone CS280B case is a great choice for users looking to build a DIY NAS server. It has a logical layout, a flexible drive bay and plenty of room to fit a Micro ATX board and half-height PCI cards. Despite being a great value for money, the build quality is only decent and there are some minor design issues. The edges of the case can be sharp, and some drive locations can get hotter with default fans. Most of the issues could be fixed by replacing the case fans or adding PSU extender cables. The case also has a narrow clearance limit for a CPU cooler at a maximum height of 83mm from the motherboard to the case. It doesn't come with much instruction either. The only cons seem to be sharp edges, noise and lack of instructions. However, for its price and feature set compared to other rackmount options, the Silverstone CS280B is hard to beat.
