Grumbacher Paints 550-2 Editorial Review
The Grumbacher Picture Varnish is a synthetic acrylic varnish that works well as a final varnish for acrylic or oil paintings. However, it tends to grey over time. It can also be used as an isolating varnish between layers of paint. The varnish goes on with a glossy finish and then turns matte. It can be removed with mineral spirits or mineral spirit combinations. Overall, customers have had positive experiences with this varnish, finding that it goes on well and does not yellow over time.
