It cannot be used as a receiver as it has a lot of mass in the driver. The transducer has a resonant frequency of 40KHz and has a calculated voltage of 34V avg and 70 peak. To connect it, solder wires onto the tabs - the middle tab is positive while the tab closest to the metal horn is negative. Customers seem satisfied with the product, but there have been issues with shipping. One customer received one transducer for 40KHz and another for 28KHz. To use the transducer, customers will need to build a signal generator/driver and adjust the input wave until voltage and current are at resonance. Another customer mentioned that the product works well for stifling dogs at a distance.
