    Answer: The rice cooker has 5 rice cooking functions and 4 multicooker functions.
  • Question: Does it have a timer and keep warm feature?

    Answer: Yes, it has a 24-hour preset timer and 12-hour keep warm feature.
  • Question: What is included in the package?

    Answer: The package includes a multilanguage instruction manual, steaming basket, measuring cup, rice spatula, and soup ladle.
  • Question: Does it cook glutinous rice? And the yum bamboo has7 cooking fonctions and the fuji has 5, what are the 2 missing?

    Answer: Hi! Yes, Fuji cooks glutinous/sticky rice. The two functions that Fuji doesn't have is cake and crust, this is because they do not work well in a 100% natural ceramic bowl with induction heating. We will only put functions on our rice cooker which work perfectly with the type of bowl and heating method.
  • Question: It says that it slow cooks stews, casseroles ect, does that mean there’s no flavour transfers when using the bowl for other foods?

    Answer: Hello! We understand your concern, but no there isn't. If you wash all removable parts after cooking, there won't be any flavour transfers.
  • Question: What material are the accessories made of?

    Answer: Hi! All accessories are made from high quality food grade plastic.
  • Question: Can this recognise and cook smaller quantities than the maximum capacity? Or do you have to cook 4 cups each time.

    Answer: We only cook 1 cup at a time. The cooking time also becomes faster with fewer cups. I do recommend this.
  • Question: How long does it take to cook rice?

    Answer: Hello! It depends on the type of rice, how much rice and what setting you are using. White rice on the long or short grain setting takes around 35-40 minutes, brown rice takes around 60 minutes.
  • Question: Is this product any good for making sushi rice?

    Answer: Hello! Sushi rice is short grain rice, so this can be cooked without any problem in Fuji. You can use the short grain setting or Yumami (extra taste) setting for this and the water markings for short grain on the inner bowl.
  • Question: Does the inner pot pure ceramic or does it have any coating eg non stick?

    Answer: Fuji has a unique SHINSEI inner bowl; it is handmade natural ceramic that takes over 90 days to make with a special inert non-stick coating. The inner bowl for an IH rice cooker has to be made in a special way with different layers to conduct the heat correctly and is 5mm thick. We have ensured it is BPA-free and PTFE/PFOA-free and is hard wearing. Please take extreme care with the handling of the bowl. As it is natural handmade ceramic be careful not to knock, drop or aggressively handle the bowl. If cared for correctly, the Fuji SHINSEI bowl will last for many years.
  • Question: Do you sell replacement bowls?

    Answer: I have been trying to buy a replacement bowl but they are made to order and supply is very limited. Yum Asia have been very helpful but ultimately we have to wait a few weeks at least before they can tell us when or how much.
