How easy is the tank to empty?
Answer: It's a chore. The front bottom panel has to be pulled off to access the collection tray. The panel is plastic with tongues that slot into holes, and not very robust; this won't wear well. Then the collection tray has to be pulled out, but as it's so close to the floor and you're bending over at an angle, it's a bit of a struggle. A collection tray located at the bottom is a very poor design feature. -

Does the dryer need an outside outlet?
Answer: No, it's a condenser. Bottom unclip and pull out and empty water out of unit. It takes a nice load and dries quick. We use a daily 45 or 30 minute dry. -

Will it take a double quilt?
Answer: It's a 9 kg drum, so large loads are ok, but a single large item, probably a bit of work if it were thick. My guess is it would have to be taken out repeatedly and re-arranged so that the damper areas were on the outside in order to get all areas fully dry. I have dried a king size faux fur throw (spun out twice at 1600rpm) and had to take it out several times and untangle it so that all areas would dry. I think an increase in the number of drum fins would be an improvement. -
